Self Audition Taping Videos

It is becoming increasingly common that actors are being asked to self-tape themselves for auditions. Besides with tighter budgets, shorter productions and more out-of-state shoots, a self tape generally becomes your most reliable and only source of connection with directors, casting directors and producers. A self-taped audition comes in handy when you are physically not available, out of town, too busy with your day job or facing schedule challenges. The turnaround time for these Audition Taping is also quick with just days to read the script, make a choice, tape, edit and send it in.

But here is the thing, how do you know that people on opposite side of the screen will see and hear everything that you say and you will get a call back? It is not that difficult provided you work with a studio that knows how to handle the things and taping. There are certain things that are very essential for audition taping and we pay special attention to the following:
Lighting: People need to see you face when they see your tape. We provide you with best lights for your tape. There is principal light or key light that falls on your face, a back light to fill light to sculpt and separate you from the background. We can also provide background lights which are used to eliminate shadows and provide additional depth.
Background: we provide a green cyc background that is most excessively used for all filming purposes. It can be pre lit for $50 per hour. It is very good and big screen and suits most project sizes. We do have an attractive gray background too.
Camera/ Sound: You do not have to go for expensive cameras and recording instruments to tape yourself, or do you have to break your bank account. People generally go for smartphones and tablets too for taping themselves. But whatever choice you make, be sure that people are able to see and hear you. The device must be zoomed in to avoid covering excessive background. A controlled environment where the camera is able o pick up your voice without unwanted disturbances must be used.
Your Read: It is sometimes beneficial to have your reader next to the camera at eye level. But make sure the reader speaks in a softer or lower volume as he is closer to the mic.
Slate: If you are asked to slate make sure it is inviting and open. We will provide you a written slate if you need so.
The Camera Picks up Everything: When we edit and cut your videos we do make sure that only the best gets sent. We allow your character to live-in between the lines. If you droop out while flipping pages do not worry we will handle that in editing.
We let you draw people with your performance and make every possible effort to make you the preferred one! We not only provide you with affordable prices but even provide you personal attention which most of our clients have come to love.
